Dog afraid outside the house? Try a mobile safe space
Oct 16, 2024
Is your dog anxious outside of your home? Maybe they're especially nervous in new places? If this describes your dog, a mobile safe space might be a good option for them.
I usually talk about safe spaces in the context of setting up areas in your home where your dog can relax. However, teaching your dog to love a safe space that can travel with them away from home can be a huge help if you've struggled to help your dog become comfortable outside.
Some examples of items that can serve as mobile safe spaces include:
- Crates
- Backpacks or carriers
- Strollers or trailers
- Your car
