Should you take your fearful dog on vacation?

When you have a very fearful dog, deciding how to handle travel plans can become a complicated process fraught with anxiety.

Should you take them along? Try to find a pet sitter? Cancel your travel plans? 

There are measures you can take to try to minimize your dog's stress if you take them with you, or leave them with a sitter, including talking with your vet about medication, and planning and training ahead of time. 

But there often is no ideal answer that will result in minimal stress for both you and your dog. So how do you decide?  In the video below, I talk about how to weigh the pros and cons of each decision, in terms of both your dog's welfare, and your own.
